Indonesian Recipe: Gado Gado
Gad Gado is a very healthy Snack. Steamed Vegetables are served with a delicious sweet and spicy Peanut Sauce.

Ingredients

Mixed Vegetables:
- 2 cups Broccoli Florets
- 1 cup Carrots cut
- 2 cups Cabbage chopped
- 2 cups Bean Sprouts
- 1 Cucumber cut
- 1 cup green Beans cut
- 300g fried Tofu
- 1 cup roasted Peanuts
- 2 tbsp Tamarind Concentrate
- 1 tbsp (Palm) Sugar
- 2 Cloves Garlic chopped
- 2 red Chili chopped
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Lime Juice
Sauce:
Instruction
- Put Peanuts, Garlic, Chili and 1 cup Water into a Blender and grind into a fine paste
- Mix Sugar, Tamarind, Soy Sauce and Lime Juice with 1/2 cup warm Water and wait until the Sugar is dissolved. Then mix it with the Peanut Paste.
- Steam all the Vegetables except the cucumber for about 6-10 minutes. Or blanch them for a short time in boiling water.
- Serve Vegetables and Tofu with the Peanut Sauce
