Italian Recipe: Ragu alla Bolognese

The Italian classic Spaghetti Bolognese in a vegetarian version with soy granules, celery and carrots. So delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 small Carrot diced
  • 1/2 cup Celery chopped
  • 1/2 cup Soy Granules (tvp)
  • 1 cup Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 300g Pasta
  • Olive Oil

Instruction

  1. Mix the Soy Granules with 1/2 cup Water.
  2. Heat some Oil and fry the Soy Granules for a few minutes on medium heat – Then put aside.
  3. Heat 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil and fry the Onions for 5 minutes on low heat.
  4. Add Carrots and Celery and fry 5 more minutes.
  5. Add Tomatoes and fry again for 5 minutes.
  6. Add Tomato Paste, Salt, Pepper and 1/2 cup Water, mix well and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Add Soy Granules, mix well and simmer 2 more minutes.
  8. Serve with Pasta
