Thai Recipe: Pad Thai

Pad Thai is a famous National dish from Thailand. This fried Noodle dish is easy to prepare and tastes absolutely delicious. The sauce combines sour, sweet, hot and salty just perfect. This is one of the meals i could eat everyday. Fast, easy and so tasty.

  • 250g Rice Noodles (Sticks) Soaked in hot water for 10-15 minutes
  • 3 cups Bean Sprouts
  • 150g Tofu cut into small cubes
  • 5 tbsp roasted Peanuts chopped
  • 1 cup Oyster Mushroom sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Garlic Chives cut (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tbsp Tamarind Concentrate
  • 1 tbsp (Palm) Sugar
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp white Rice Vinegar
  • 5 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oil and Oil for frying the Tofu


  1. Fry the diced Tofu on a high Flame until they are golden brown and put aside
  2. Mix 2 tbsp Tamarind, 1 tbsp Sugar, 5 tbsp Soy Sauce, 2 tbsp Vinegar and 1 tbsp Chili Powder and put also aside
  3. Heat 2 tbsp Oil on a medium Flame and fry the Garlic for 1 minute
  4. Add The Mushrooms, mix well and fry 2 minutes (optional)
  5. Add the prepared Noodles and mix well.
  6. Add the Sauce, mix well again and stir-fry for 1 minute
  7. At last add the Tofu, Sprouts, Chives and Peanuts, turn down the heat and fry for 1-2 more minutes
